Happy To Study English(快乐学英语)

   Hi, everyone! My name is Qiu Cuihui. You can call me Autumn in English. I’m 12 years old. I’m in Grade 7 in No.42 Middle School.

   I’m a happy girl. I can speak English and I like English very much. I began learning English when I was about 4 years old. English is my good friend. I hope I will be able to speak English very well when I grow up.

   In my opinion, to learn English well, one must know how to understand it. Just reciting new words is not enough. One must learn how to use the words in their proper contexts. Take the word “approach” for an example: “A stranger approached him on the street” and “He approached the case with caution”. In the first sentence the word “approach” means to “come near”, whereas in the second sentence “approach” means “handle”. The same word appearing in different contexts may have entirely different meanings.

   One approach I take to learn English is to listen to English songs. I can sing while I listen. I like them because they make me feel excited, and I can learn many English words from the songs. Ｉalso like watching English films. I don’t think movies waste my time. I believe I learn many good native English expressions from the films.

   Once, my father wanted to learn English. I became his little English teacher. I taught him many English words and daily expressions. And my father was a good student. Both of us were very happy.

   One of my classmates is a foreigner. We often chat in English. I feel very happy.

   I like English very much, and I like this friend. I always feel happy when I learn English.

学习经验介绍：学英语要会理解，不能死记硬背。要多说，多写，多练。要具有持之以恒的精神，要一直学下去。有条件的可以看原版电影，听原版音乐，训练听力。
