A Beautiful City----Qingdao(一座美丽的城市----青岛)

My name is Yuan Xiaoxi. You can call me Linda. I’m 14 years old. I’m currently studying in Yu Xian Middle School. I like English very much, so I’m working hard at it.

I live in a beautiful city called Qingdao. I love Qingdao. Let me tell you something about it.

In spring, the flowers blossom everywhere. When I see those beautiful flowers, I know that spring has arrived. I like cherry blossoms best. When you take a walk in the cherry blossoms, you can forget all of your problems. You will also see butterflies dancing from flower to flower.

In summer, I often play with my friends on the beach. We play volleyball there and it’s great. After playing for some time we lie down on the golden sand and enjoy the sunshine. If you live in Qingdao, you can walk along the seaside, enjoy the sea breeze and have a picnic by the sea.

In autumn, the leaves start to change their colors. The colors are different: some are green and some are orange. This difference makes autumn a very beautiful season.

In winter, it often snows. You can go out and make a snowman, or you can have a snowball fight. You’ll enjoy yourself despite the cold.

This is Qingdao, a beautiful seaside city. Do you like it? If you do, you are welcome to join us in Qingdao for the 2008 Olympics.
