The Sea

When I was a child, the sea was just a dream, because I was not a child who was born near the sea or played in the sea. My dream was beautiful: the blue sky and blue sea, the cool breeze blowing gently with a little wave. All these wonderful sceneries often appeared in my mind.

Later, because of my parents' job transfer, we moved to Qingdao to live. I am now near the sea. I can feel the sea breeze everyday. Playing with the kids and growing up near the sea, I realized that I am the sea's daughter. I remember that on Mother's Day I made a necklace for my mother from flicker shells I picked up on the beach. The necklace made my mother happy for quite a few days.

I love Qingdao and Qingdao's summer because of the blue sea. When summer comes, I always walk along the sandy beach, swimming in the sea, playing with my friends, feeling that the sea is the greatest thing in my life.

When the footprints are washed away by the waves and that the setting sun leaves the light on the water, I stand on the beach, facing the ocean and listen to the sound of the waves. My love for the sea is as deep as the sea itself. My love for the sea opens my heart wide. This special love energizes me so much that I never feel any frustration in life. This love gives me the kindest heart, the brightest smile and the sweetest voice.
