A Happy Family – 幸福家庭

Hello everybody. My name is Zhu Changyue. You can call me Julia. My mother calls me smart. I'm 11 years old. I am thin, tall and healthy. I have long, straight hair and big black eyes. I like playing piano, swimming, Chinese art and writing. I already have the Band-4 certificate in Chinese art. I often write articles for magazines, so I am now a member of the China Young Writers' Association. I have a big family; my grandfather and grandmother live with us. My parents respect elders. They are filial.

My father works in Beijing. He is a general manager. He is very busy, goes on business all the time and has little time to stay with me. But he always finds time to check on my studies. In order to please my busy father, I try hard to study well and to get satisfactory results in my exams. My mother is a patent agent. We are very close. She works very hard. My mother is beautiful, funny and always happy. I often study and talk with her. We read Chinese and English books. In our spare time we go swimming and climbing.

My family gives me warmth and courage. So I am a confident girl. I want to express my thanks to my father, mother and my grandparents. You've given me a happy life. I love you.
